Kolkata, Sept. 29 -- Former West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and her party's national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee arrived in Delhi on Tuesday ahead of the INDIA bloc meeting scheduled for Wednesday over the Election Commission and SIR controversy.
"I have arrived in Delhi ahead of the INDIA Bloc meeting scheduled for tomorrow. Whatever needs to be said, I will say at tomorrow's meeting. You already know that our focus is on the Election Commission," Mamata told reporters after arriving in the national capital. She alleged that the meeting would be against the "entire software team" which, according to her, had "cheated and betrayed" people.
"I will place everything that needs to be said before the meeting tomorrow," Mamata said.
Taking a dig at CEC Gyanesh Kumar, Mamata said: "Gyanesh Kumar is not Gyanesh; he is 'Vanish ji'. You know that I have been calling him 'Vanish' from the very beginning."
The INDIA bloc meeting comes amid Opposition demands for Kumar's resignation over allegations surrounding the SIR. Mamata, along with several Opposition leaders, has opposed the SIR process and demanded restoration of the earlier electoral rolls.
