Malda, Oct. 13 -- Two minor brothers have been missing for seven days after leaving their home to attend private tuition, leaving their family in a state of distress in Gosainpur village under Binodpur Gram Panchayat in English Bazar block of Malda.
The missing boys have been identified as Biswajit Mondal, 16, a Class IX student of Nagharia High School, and his younger brother Prasenjit Mondal, 13, a Class VI student of Bangitola High School. According to family sources, the two brothers left home together on October 6 to attend tuition classes at a teacher's residence in the Amriti area. However, they did not return home afterwards.
"We have searched for them at different places, but there has been no trace of either of our sons. We are extremely worried and do not know where they are," the missing boys' father said. The family has reportedly lodged a written complaint with the authorities. However, the continued absence of the two boys has heightened anxiety among their relatives, who are desperately waiting for news of their safe return.
The family has appealed to the public to help trace the missing brothers. Anyone with information about Biswajit or Prasenjit has been requested to contact the nearest police station.
