India, July 9 -- Five children and a couple were injured after a car allegedly driven by a woman learning to drive rammed into a group of parents and schoolchildren waiting for a school bus outside Panchsheel Greens in Greater Noida West on Wednesday morning. Police identified the driver as Nikita, a resident of the housing society. According to residents, she was on her way to drop her daughter at school when the accident occurred. Eyewitnesses alleged that she was distracted by her mobile phone and, on noticing the crowd near the society gate, mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the car to lurch forward.
