Kolkata, Aug. 25 -- TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh on Tuesday alleged that BJP Yuva Morcha secretary Ayan Paul had taken Rs 5 lakh from a Jadavpur resident and was later forced to return the money after the matter came to light.
Ghosh shared a video purportedly showing Paul handing over cash to a man, who is heard saying that Ayan had returned Rs 5 lakh. Ghosh alleged that the money was taken in the name of evicting a tenant and claimed another BJP leader intervened to facilitate its return after the matter became known.
Ghosh also questioned Paul's association with BJP leaders, highlighting photographs of him with Jadavpur MLA Sarbari Mukhopadhyay and other senior leaders. The authenticity of the video and the allegations could not be independently verified by Millennium Post.
