Chandigarh, Oct. 28 -- Key Haryana Congress leaders met at MP Deepender Hooda's official residence in Delhi on Wednesday to plan the 'Save the Vote, Save the Nation' mega-rally scheduled for November 1 at Ramlila Maidan, following a call by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.

Haryana Congress Legislature Party leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, AICC in-charge Sanjay Dutt, state Congress president Rao Narendra Singh and Deepender Hooda reviewed preparations and assigned responsibilities to MPs, MLAs, senior leaders and office-bearers of party organisations.

Congress MPs and MLAs from Haryana, former legislators and MPs, former state party presidents, district Congress committee chiefs and representatives of party departments and cells attended the meeting.

Bhupinder Hooda said lakhs of people from Haryana would attend the rally. He accused the BJP government of corruption and coming to power through dishonest means, demanding its removal. Congress leaders alleged that the rally would break previous attendance records and claimed that not just votes but the entire government had been stolen in Haryana.

Questioning changes in voting percentages after the Election Commission announced them, Hooda said the issue remained unanswered.
