Kolkata, Sept. 9 -- Letters addressed to TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee are allegedly being returned without reaching her, claimed TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee on Wednesday. He alleged that letters sent by both common people and party workers were not being delivered to Banerjee.
Standing outside Banerjee's residence in Kalighat, Kalyan displayed a returned letter and accused the BJP of interfering with correspondence addressed to the TMC leader.
"How low can the BJP stoop? Common people are sending letters to Mamata Banerjee, but those letters are not reaching the party supremo. The Kalighat post office is sending the letters back," Kalyan alleged.
Kalyan cited Shyamal Kanti Das's returned letter to Mamata from the Kalighat post office, questioning why correspondence to her was not delivered.
The TMC MP alleged the BJP was preventing people from directly communicating with Mamata.
