India, July 30 -- A 16-year-old factory worker was allegedly stabbed to death by two juvenile co-workers in northeast Delhi's New Usmanpur area after they claimed he had been harassing and bullying them, police said on Wednesday. Police said they received a PCR call at around 11.30 am on July 28 reporting the discovery of a body in a pit inside DDA Park near Jag Pravesh Chandra (JPC) Hospital. A police team reached the spot and recovered the body of the teenager, who had sustained multiple stab injuries. The body was sent to JPC Hospital for preservation, while a blood-stained knife was recovered from the scene. A forensic team examined the crime scene and collected evidence, following which an FIR was registered under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The investigation, supervised by Additional Commissioner of Police (Seelampur) Malkiyat Singh and Station House Officer K.L. Yadav, involved multiple teams analysing CCTV footage and technical evidence to establish the victim's identity. Police identified the deceased as Saad alias Nami, a resident of Behta Hajipur in Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The investigation led to two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, who were traced to Behta Hajipur. According to police, the two allegedly confessed that they had killed Nami, claiming he had repeatedly harassed and intimidated them at the factory where they all worked. Police said that on July 27, Nami allegedly asked the two juveniles to buy slippers on his behalf. They allegedly lured him to DDA Park near JPC Hospital on the pretext that slippers were available there on credit. An argument reportedly broke out over the slippers, following which the two juveniles allegedly stabbed him to death before fleeing the scene. Police said the alleged murder weapon and the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the offence have been recovered. Further investigation is underway.
