India, June 16 -- Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has extended the registration deadline for admissions to its Postgraduate (PG) and ADOP programmes for the academic session 2026-27 and introduced a one-time correction facility for candidates who have already submitted their applications. According to an official notification issued by the university on Monday, the online admission portal, which was originally scheduled to close on June 15, will now remain open on June 16 and June 17, giving aspirants an additional opportunity to complete the application process. The university stated that fresh applications may be submitted by eligible candidates who were unable to apply within the original timeline. The correction facility, however, will not apply to certain personal details including the candidate's name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth. JNU clarified that the correction window is being provided as a one-time opportunity and that requests for further modifications after the closure of the portal on June 17 at 11:50 p.m. are unlikely to be entertained. Applicants have been advised to carefully verify all details before final submission, including programme preferences, category selection, eligibility criteria, and other relevant information to avoid discrepancies during the admission process. The university has also urged students to regularly check the official website and admission portal for updates and further announcements related to admissions.
