Siliguri, Sept. 10 -- Innovation and technology-based problem-solving took centre stage at SIT (Siliguri Institute of Technology) Diploma College as the institute organised an Internal Hackathon as part of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026.
Student teams comprising six members each presented technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges during the event. The participants showcased their creativity, teamwork and technical skills while working on innovative ideas aimed at addressing practical problems. The projects were evaluated on several parameters, including innovation, understanding of the problem, technical approach, feasibility, scalability, presentation and potential impact.
The evaluation panel comprised Dr Prasanta Kumar Roy, Assistant Professor, CSE; Dr Sagar Dey, Assistant Professor, Physics; and Dr Tumpa Manna, Assistant Professor, MCA.
