New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- India's growing medical value travel sector is drawing international patients beyond cost advantages, with an Australian couple undertaking a Rs 45-lakh, multi-speciality treatment journey involving cosmetic and dental procedures.
Joshua Finlay and Tegan Durham, who had earlier travelled to Turkey for plastic surgery, chose India this year for an extensive treatment plan spanning August 31 to October 11. Their procedures include abdominoplasty, thigh lifts, breast revision surgery, brachioplasty, liposuction and dental treatment across multiple healthcare providers.
Around Rs 40 lakh of their total expenditure, estimated at nearly AUD 66,000 including treatment, travel, accommodation and coordination, went towards medical procedures. The complexity of managing multiple procedures led the couple to use CureMeAbroad, a medical travel and patient-navigation platform that helped them compare treatment options, connect with specialists and coordinate consultations and on-ground requirements.
