Chandigarh, May 14 -- Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday accused the BJP government of rampant corruption and discrimination against Haryana's youth.

Addressing a press conference in Rohtak, Hooda claimed BJP leaders themselves admitted during the DISHA Committee meeting that the roads constructed during the Congress regime "remain intact even after 10 years", whereas roads built under their government "do not last even 10 days".

Citing NCRB data, he said an average of nine people die by suicide daily in Haryana due to unemployment, economic insecurity and mental stress. Hooda alleged the government was favouring outside candidates in recruitment drives.

He claimed that in Assistant Professor recruitment for Hindi, 41 of 60 selected general category candidates were from other states.
