Kolkata, Sept. 2 -- The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday directed Falta police to file a report on action taken over temporary structures allegedly left on a public playground after the 'Sebashray' health camp organised by TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee.
Hearing a plea seeking restoration of the park, a bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty questioned whether the structures were permanent or temporary. The petitioner alleged that tin sheds, scaffolding and chambers erected for the December 2025 Sebashray-2 camp at Harindanga No. 1 Gram Panchayat remained after the event, rendering the playground unusable for sports, gatherings and other community activities.
