Developed with an entirely indigenous design, manufacturing, and conversion process, this train is a living example of the capability of Indian engineers and the resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat. It will be among the world's longest hydrogen-powered trains operating on broad gauge tracks. Built at a cost of approximately Rs 141 crore, the train will comprise two driving power cars and eight passenger coaches. With a power output of approximately 2,400 kilowatts, it will be among the most powerful hydrogen-powered trains of Indian Railways. The successful trial of the train has been completed, and approval from the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) has also been obtained. This clearly reflects that India has taken a decisive step towards modern, safe and environmentally friendly rail transportation.
