Chandigarh, Sept. 22 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday held a nearly six-hour meeting with MLAs, administrative secretaries and department heads to review public grievances and development issues raised through the Jan Samvad portal.
Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar and Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta were among those present.
Saini directed officials to ensure time-bound resolution of complaints and said issues raised by elected representatives as the voice of the people should not be met with mere assurances. Visible action must be ensured, he said.
Administrative secretaries were asked to personally monitor cases and coordinate with MLAs. The chief minister said grievances that could be resolved at the district level should not be unnecessarily referred to higher authorities, adding that reducing the distance between citizens and administration was a government priority.
MLAs apprised Saini of constituency-level issues, following which he directed officials to take time-bound action. He said unnecessary delays in development projects would not be acceptable at any level.
