India, July 17 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday reviewed preparations in Jind for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit on Friday, during which the Prime Minister will flag off India's first hydrogen-powered train from the district. Saini said all programmes scheduled during the Prime Minister's visit would be completely eco-friendly. The CM first visited Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University and took stock of arrangements for the various events planned in Jind. He later reached Jind Railway Station, where he reviewed preparations for the launch of the hydrogen train and issued necessary directions to officials.

During the inspection, Saini examined arrangements for the entry of the general public and VIPs, the executive lounge, cafeteria and railway track. He also reviewed passenger facilities at the station. The CM subsequently visited the Haryana Urban Development Authority ground, where the 'Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana' rally is scheduled to be held. He inspected seating arrangements, parking facilities and other preparations. Saini directed officials to ensure that people attending the rally do not face any inconvenience and that adequate arrangements for drinking water and other basic amenities are in place. Public Works Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Krishan Lal Middha, BJP state president Archana Gupta, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi and several senior administrative and police officials were present during the review meetings.
