Chandigarh, Sept. 25 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday directed officials to expedite construction of dedicated buildings for Anganwadi centres operating from rented premises and identify suitable government land, vacant school spaces and other locations for the purpose.
Chairing a review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department, Saini stressed optimum use of available resources and coordinated efforts by officials and public representatives to create permanent facilities.
Reviewing the Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana, he directed officials to provide quality sanitary pads free of cost to eligible BPL women and adolescent girls, while ensuring proper beneficiary registration and distribution records. He also ordered wider availability of sanitary products through Jan Aushadhi Kendras, schools and designated centres, besides installing dispensing machines wherever required.
UNDER MISSION SE PURI COPY KAT DIJIYE AUR YE CHIPKA DIJIYE-- Saini directed that the Juvenile Justice Fund be raised to Rs 10 crore and solar panels installed at Children's Homes. He ordered their renovation and regular inspection. He also directed that financial assistance to victims of sexual and POCSO-related offences be increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000.
