New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- Delhi is moving to overhaul its industrial and startup ecosystem, with the government stepping up work on the proposed Delhi Industrial Policy 2026-2036 and Delhi Startup Policy 2026-2031, while pushing faster implementation of single-window clearances, export promotion and MSME reforms.
Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa reviewed the progress of key schemes and projects of the Industries Department on Tuesday and directed officials to adhere to fixed timelines and remove delays.
"It is important that every scheme, programme and project moves forward according to clearly defined timelines. We have directed the concerned officers to closely monitor progress and ensure that there are no avoidable delays," Sirsa said. "Government initiatives must translate into visible benefits for citizens, entrepreneurs, investors, startups, MSMEs and industrial stakeholders at the earliest."
The proposed industrial policy will focus on clean and sustainable industries and identify sectors such as frontier technologies, Global Capability Centres, data centres,
healthcare, urban logistics, circular economy, green transition and industry-linked skilling.
