
Siliguri, May 12 -- Four persons, including two Thai nationals, along with one Nepal national and one Indian, were apprehended by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) near the Indo-Nepal border in Siliguri while allegedly attempting to enter India through an unauthorised route.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, troops of B-Coy Madanjote under the 41st Battalion SSB Ranidanga launched a special operation near Border Pillar No. 88/08 in the Ratkhola area.
During the operation, the Quick Response Team (QRT) intercepted a vehicle and apprehended the four persons. Several mobile phones, passports, one Indian Aadhaar card and an Indian Visa and E-Visa were recovered from them.
The two Thai women were identified as Nusra Kingwan (43 years) and Sawinee Chalasai (33 years). Sources claimed that they were reportedly involved in flesh trade activities under the guise of Thai massage services.
The other two apprehended persons were identified as Abhishek Shreshtha Bhartali (28 years), a resident of Mechinagar in Jhapa district of Nepal, who was allegedly acting as a tout, and Md. Suleman (26 years), a resident of North Dinajpur district, who was the driver of the vehicle.
