New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- The first six-week Cyber Commando Course for 34 CISF personnel from different units was concluded at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu in a valedictory function held on Saturday.
The special course was conducted under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the IIITDM, Kancheepuram on 10th July 2026.
The course had the objective to enhance the cyber security knowledge and know-how of the CISF personnel and build a quality pool of cyber security experts within the CISF.
The valedictory function consist of a presentation on the course, appreciation by the Director of IIITDM, Kancheepuram and Vice Principal, CISF Regional Training Centre (RTC), Thakkolam in addition to feedback by the participants and the presentation of course completion certificates.
The participants of the first batch have appreciated the course, the practical inputs as well as the expertise of the resource personnel. The participants opined the benefits derived from the course would go a long way in augmenting their cyber security know-how to deal with cyber challenges in their specific CISF units.
The conclusion of the first Cyber Commando Course is a significant step towards enhancing in-house capabilities of the CISF in the ever-growing field of cyber security.
With more and more critical infrastructure reliant on digital technologies, cyber security domain has become an integral element of all-round security preparedness. The special course would empower the CISF personnel with the right skills to detect and tackle with cyber challenges impacting the force and the installations under its protection.
This initiative is a part of CISF's endeavours to build core competencies through specialized training inputs and collaboration with premier academic and research institutions.
The force is determined to move forward with initiatives to ensure that it not only keeps pace with emerging security challenges and technologies but also develops in-house competencies in key areas of specialisation.
