New Delhi, Oct. 7 -- The Delhi Police's District Investigation Unit (DIU) has busted an alleged fake currency syndicate with the arrest of four persons and recovery of counterfeit Indian currency notes worth around Rs 10.50 lakh, along with printing equipment.

The accused were identified as Pushkar Raj Purbia alias Doctor, 56, of Jaipur; Gosai Ram, 22, of Barmer; Sahil Kharb, 28, of Sonipat; and Narendra Kumar, 31, of Churu.

Police said the operation began on September 30 following information about counterfeit currency being supplied in Prashant Vihar. Three accused were arrested near Japanese Park, while Kumar was apprehended from Churu during further investigation. Searches led to the recovery of 21 bundles of suspected fake Rs 500 notes and printing equipment.
