Chandigarh, Oct. 25 -- Former Haryana chief minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday accused the BJP government of failing to manage the economy, law and order and power supply, alleging that every section of society was suffering under its rule.
Speaking to reporters at his residence, Hooda held the government responsible for the three-day power breakdown, alleging it sought to benefit a private company through electricity distribution privatisation in Gurugram and Nuh.
He said he had opposed the move in the Assembly but the government ignored his concerns. Hooda questioned who would compensate people for their losses and warned that privatisation could end subsidies for farmers. He said Congress would oppose the decision at every platform.
