
New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has arrested the chairman and promoter of a realty firm in a money laundering case linked to the alleged non-delivery of residential plots for which buyers had paid hundreds of crores.
Vatika Group chairman-cum-managing director Anil Bhalla and promoter Gautam Bhalla were arrested on Monday under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
They were produced before a special PMLA court in Gurugram on Tuesday and remanded in ED custody till October 3, an ED spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The case stems from multiple FIRs registered by the economic offences wing (EOW) of Delhi Police for alleged fraudulent inducement and non-delivery of residential plots.
