NEW DELHI, July 5 -- The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the commencement of admissions for its newly introduced one-year postgraduate programmes and invited applications for its M.Sc. in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (PMB) through the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B), while the ongoing undergraduate and postgraduate admission processes continue to witness a strong response.

The newly launched one-year postgraduate programmes are open exclusively to students who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022, based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, from the University of Delhi. Admissions will be based on the merit secured in the four-year bachelor's programme according to the programme-specific eligibility criteria. Applications for both the one-year PG courses and the two-year M.Sc. PMB programme are being accepted through the university's postgraduate admission portal.

For undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), the university has received 1,48,407 applications, with 62,524 candidates completing Phase II of the admission process so far. Candidates can submit and edit their programme and college preferences until 11:59 p.m. on July 11.

The university has also released updates on two-year postgraduate admissions, where 9,500 admissions have already been completed. The mid-entry window will close at 11:59 p.m. on July 5, while the third allocation list, including admissions to performance-based programmes such as Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.), Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) and Music, will be announced on July 9.

For B.Tech admissions, DU has declared the second allocation list, and shortlisted candidates have until 4:59 p.m. on July 8 to accept their allotted seats.

Meanwhile, the first spot admission round for the five-year integrated law programmes is underway. Eligible candidates can apply for the spot round until 11:59 p.m. on July 7. With admissions progressing simultaneously across undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and integrated programmes, the university has advised applicants to adhere strictly to the notified deadlines to avoid missing admission opportunities.
