New Delhi, Sept. 14 -- Marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17, the Delhi government is set to roll out a month-long "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" featuring development projects worth Rs.13,820 crore, including an Rs.8,000-crore Yamuna push, alongside health camps, cleanliness drives and public outreach programmes across all 70 Assembly constituencies.

Rs.13,820-crore projects during campaign

The "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan - Jan Seva Hi Prabhu Seva Hai" will be observed by the Delhi government from September 17 to October 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and his 25 years of public service. The Delhi BJP's organisational programmes will continue till October 18.

Gupta said all Delhi government departments would undertake special public service programmes during the campaign.

"The Prime Minister has continuously made public service his mission. He has always maintained that for governments and public representatives, power is a means of public service and not a means of comfort and privilege," she said.

Rs.8,000 crore Yamuna push

Projects related to cleaning the Yamuna worth around Rs.8,000 crore will be inaugurated or have their foundation stones laid during the campaign, alongside large-scale cleanliness drives.

"The Yamuna is a symbol of faith for Delhi and every Indian. Cleaning the Yamuna is not merely a one-day programme but an important continuous initiative," Gupta said.

The Environment Department will conduct plantation drives in every ward as part of Delhi's target of planting 70 lakh trees and saplings.

Blood camps, health checks and worker registration

A mega blood donation camp on September 17 will target 2,500 units in a single day. Health check-up camps by the Social Welfare and Health departments will cover around 25,000 senior citizens.

The Labour Department will undertake registration and health check-ups of workers and construction workers to connect them with government welfare schemes.

An official State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) platform will also be launched to promote organ donation and encourage people to pledge their organs.

Five lakh students, 70 constituencies

Under "Mere Sapno Ka Bharat", painting, speech and reel-making competitions will involve five lakh students from around 5,000 schools, including Delhi government, private, NDMC and MCD schools, as well as universities.

Three-day "Seva Setu" camps will be held in all 70 Assembly constituencies, with officials providing information, registration and assistance related to Central and Delhi government schemes. The "Aashirwad Ka Diya" programme will be held on September 17 evening, with beneficiaries lighting diyas at their homes.

Anganwadi workers, children and cleanliness drives

All 21,350 Anganwadi workers from 10,897 centres will be felicitated under "Aangan Ka Milan". Welfare activities will also be organised for children at child-care centres.

Cleanliness drives will be conducted across every ward, Assembly constituency and other locations under the "Clean Delhi, Green Delhi" initiative.

"Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang" will feature rangoli and mandala activities carrying messages on education, unity and environmental protection. An "Innovation Challenge" will also provide young people a platform to showcase ideas, while "Sushasan Seva Samvad" will facilitate direct public interaction with government departments.

BJP's organisational activities

Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra said the party would organise blood donation camps across 14 organisational districts and cleanliness drives at 2,500 locations. It will also conduct student activities, Anganwadi interactions, beneficiary outreach and street plays during the campaign.

"Modi Ji is not merely a politician; he is a 'Vikas Purush' who has served continuously for 25 years with the spirit of Nation First," Malhotra said.

The BJP will also organise a "Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra" across 14 districts on October 7. A 50-member Delhi team will travel to Varanasi on September 15, while a 50-member Gujarat team from Vadnagar will be welcomed in Delhi on September 29. The campaign will conclude with a Delhi government-led Yamuna cleanliness drive, with BJP workers participating.

Rs.12.25 lakh crore infrastructure pipeline

Gupta also highlighted infrastructure development under the Modi government, saying projects approved, ongoing and proposed for Delhi over the past 12 years are worth Rs 12.25 lakh crore. Projects include the Delhi-Meerut, Delhi-Dehradun and Delhi-Mumbai expressways, Dwarka Expressway, UER-2, Peripheral routes, Jewar Airport, RRTS, Metro expansion, Yashobhoomi and Bharat Mandapam.
