India, May 11 -- Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh on Saturday paid rich tributes to late Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki during a road naming ceremony held in Palam village, which was also attended by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Addressing the gathering, Parvesh Sahib Singh described Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki as a leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of villages, farmers and rural communities. He said Solanki was far more than a public figure and remained deeply connected to the people of Delhi's rural belt through his simplicity and commitment to social causes. "Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki ji was not defined by any position... he was a thought, a commitment that stood firmly with villages, farmers, and rural society," the minister said. Referring to the decision to name a road after the late leader, Parvesh Sahib Singh said, "The decision by the Hon'ble Chief Minister to name a road after him is not merely a formal gesture... it is a tribute to a life dedicated to public service and rural upliftment." The minister also stressed the need to carry forward Solanki's vision for rural development. He said both the Central Government and the Delhi Government were committed to improving infrastructure and opportunities in villages and rural areas. "It is now our responsibility to carry forward his vision. Both the Central Government and the Delhi Government are working with full commitment for the development of rural areas," he said. The ceremony was attended by local residents, community representatives and supporters who gathered to honour the late leader's contribution to rural society.
