New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- Delhi Police took up 1,561 complaints and grievances during its weekly "Thana Divas - Jansunwai" public hearing sessions held across all 15 police districts, officials said on Sunday.
The public hearings were conducted at police stations on Saturday, with senior officers ranging from Special Commissioners of Police to Assistant Commissioners of Police visiting the programmes and directly interacting with citizens.
The "Thana Divas - Jansunwai" initiative was launched by the Delhi Police in June 2026 following directions from Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
Under the initiative, public hearing sessions are held every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at police stations across the city. The programme is being implemented under the leadership of Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar,
officials said.
