India, Aug. 8 -- Delhi Police on Saturday felicitated 16 young innovators for developing citizen-centric technology solutions as part of its Summer Internship Programme-2026 at Police Headquarters. Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar felicitated the interns at a ceremony held at Police Headquarters, recognising their contribution to developing technology-driven solutions for modern policing. Launched to foster collaboration between Delhi Police and premier academic institutions, the internship programme commenced on June 8 and received more than 400 applications from students across leading universities and technical institutions. Also Read - Narela: Merc-car crash kills woman pedestrian Following a rigorous selection process, 16 students from IIT Delhi, Delhi Technological University (DTU), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Jamia Hamdard, Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) and other institutions were selected for the programme. Working under the mentorship of officers from the Tech & Project Implementation Division of Delhi Police, the interns developed four functional solutions aimed at improving administrative efficiency, streamlining internal processes, strengthening citizen services and supporting the force's digital transformation through AI-based solutions. Addressing the interns, Kumar congratulated them on their dedication, innovation and technical excellence, and stressed the importance of academia-police collaboration in developing technology-driven solutions for modern policing.
