India, Aug. 20 -- The Delhi government on Wednesday promoted 111 officers of the Delhi Administration Subordinate Service (DASS) Grade-I cadre and issued orders for their fresh postings across key departments in a move aimed at improving governance and speeding up public service delivery. According to the Services Department, the officers have been assigned responsibilities in the education, health, revenue, trade and taxes, law and vigilance departments, as well as the Lieutenant Governor's Secretariat. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the promotions would strengthen the government's administrative machinery and improve delivery of citizen-centric services. "Making the administrative system efficient and accountable is our government's priority," she said, adding that the decision would accelerate work in departments such as health, education and revenue. A significant number of promoted officers have been posted as Deputy Directors in the Education Department.
