India, Aug. 12 -- Tourists visiting Delhi will be able to explore the capital through four curated tourism circuits connecting temples, gurdwaras, churches, Jain and Buddhist sites, archaeological landmarks and other attractions, as the government seeks to turn the city from a transit point into a destination. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the circuits - 'The Soul of Delhi', 'The Heritage of Delhi', 'Delhi's Sacred Harmony' and 'Echoes of Delhi' - at the Spiritual and Heritage Tourism Conclave-2026 at Akshardham Temple on Tuesday. Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was also present. The four routes cover 21 sites across the capital. The circuits combine spiritual, cultural and historical attractions, including Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Agrasen Ki Baoli, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, Jantar Mantar, Purana Qila, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Gupta said the initiative aims to encourage longer tourist stays and benefit hotels, restaurants, guides, artisans and local businesses while showcasing Delhi's diverse traditions.
