
Raiganj, April 20 -- A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan deployed in Raiganj for election duty died after suddenly falling ill on Sunday night.
According to sources from Raiganj Government Medical College and Hospital, the constable, identified as Suresh Kumar (30), was rushed to the emergency unit of Raiganj Government Medical College & Hospital around 9 pm after he complained of discomfort following dinner. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Kumar was a resident of Madanpur village under Faridabad Police Station in Chhattisgarh.
A senior officer of Raiganj police station confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
"An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of death. Further details are awaited," he added.
