India, July 5 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is on the path to becoming the world's fourth-largest economy. Today, the country is witnessing record GST collections every month, symbolising its growing economic strength. Chartered Accountants (CAs) have made a significant contribution to strengthening this tax system. The Chief Minister assured all possible government assistance regarding the request for five acres of land to establish a 'Centre of Excellence' for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Panchkula.
Chief Minister Saini was addressing the national conference for CA students, 'Pragyaan 2026', as the chief guest at the Indradhanush Auditorium today. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the conference by lighting the traditional lamp. Addressing the CA students, the Chief Minister said that their contribution is vital to realising PM Modi's vision of a Viksit Bharat. He emphasised that the blueprint and foundation of a developed India's economic structure will be shaped by young professionals like them. Referring to an inspiring statement made by the Prime Minister at an ICAI programme, CM Saini said that Narendra Modi had once remarked that a Chartered Accountant's signature is even more powerful than that of the Prime Minister.
The Chief Minister said that while governments formulate policies, schemes, and programmes, it is the signature of a Chartered Accountant that often influences the direction and health of the economy. He said that the theme of the conference, 'Pragyaan Yash Ka Path' conveys the message that success is not attained through talent alone but through hard work, integrity, discipline, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Meanwhile, CM Saini has directed the Tourism Department to redevelop the historic Yadavindra Garden in Pinjore and the picturesque Tikkar Taal in Morni Hills in accordance with modern and international standards. The directions were issued during a high-level review meeting held with senior officers of the Tourism Department on late Friday evening.
