India, July 9 -- The Congress on Wednesday demanded the immediate dissolution of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and a Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the alleged theft of donations at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Party spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil alleged that CCTV footage covering forty days, from 27 April to 5 June, had captured theft on seventy occasions, with money concealed in shoes, clothes and pockets. He claimed a Special Investigation Team had registered an FIR in which the accused's parentage and address were recorded as unknown. Gohil alleged that daily donations at the temple, earlier recorded at 16 to 18 lakh rupees, rose to 24 to 26 lakh rupees after the FIR, which he said indicated that around 10 lakh rupees was being stolen each day.
