New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday met Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi and briefed him on the implementation of welfare schemes, the progress of key development projects and initiatives to strengthen the cooperative sector in the state.
During the meeting, Yadav apprised Shah of the status of various public welfare programmes being implemented by the state government and shared details of new initiatives and innovations in the cooperative sector, an official statement said. The Chief Minister also discussed the progress of important development projects and initiatives aimed at accelerating the state's overall growth. Yadav sought Shah's guidance and continued support for taking forward the state's development agenda.
He said Madhya Pradesh was making steady progress in development and public welfare under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with the guidance of the central leadership. The meeting assumes significance as the state government has been laying emphasis on expanding welfare delivery, strengthening infrastructure and giving a greater push to the cooperative sector.
Yadav said the state government was committed to taking Madhya Pradesh's development trajectory to a higher level and ensuring greater prosperity for its people. The meeting was held during Yadav's visit to the national capital.
