
Kolkata, May 15 -- Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will hold a meeting with the officials of five districts - Purulia, Bankura, West Burdwan, Birbhum, and East Burdwan on May 21 to take stock of ongoing schemes.
Sources said that the Chief Minister's Office has already communicated the matter to district administrations of all five districts. The district administrations will also hold a meeting with the newly elected MLAs from these districts. The administrations will also listen to the suggestions of the MLA regarding the implementation of various schemes.
It was learnt from the sources that the Chief Minister Adhikari will hold the meeting at Durgapur on May 21.
Adhikari earlier announced that no existing social welfare scheme in the state would be discontinued under the newly formed BJP government, seeking to clear doubts over the future of projects launched during the TMC regime.
