
Chandigarh, Aug. 17 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said the state government was expediting major industrial and logistics projects to establish Haryana as a leading manufacturing hub in the country.
Saini made the remarks while participating through video conferencing in the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, chief ministers and senior officials also attended the meeting.
Saini reviewed the progress of the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) at Nangal Chaudhary and the Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC). He said land approval, connectivity and infrastructure works were progressing rapidly.
The Chief Minister said land acquisition for Phase-I of the Nangal Chaudhary logistics hub was being expedited and would be completed shortly. He will visit the hub on August 23 and flag off the railway line. The railway yard of the CWC IMLH will be operated by the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC).
On the Hisar IMC, Saini said bids had been received for the Rs 707-crore EPC project for Phase-I infrastructure and were being evaluated. The EPC agency will be appointed shortly, while the master plan is targeted to be notified by August 31, 2026.
Canal diversion work for Phase-I has already been awarded, while NHAI has awarded the proposed double-loop interchange at Dhandur Junction on an EPC basis.
Saini said a proposal had also been sent to the Centre under the BHAVYA scheme for an industrial park on 108 acres in Ambala. Land acquisition is being advanced for other proposed Integrated Manufacturing Clusters, with land being acquired for 10 IMTs in Haryana.
