
New Delhi, Sept. 19 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who was herself DUSU president in 1996-97, congratulated the newly elected office-bearers after the ABVP won three of the four central panel posts in the Delhi University Students' Union election, saying the victory was a moment of "special joy" for her.
Gupta congratulated Yash Dabas, Riya Chhabra and Lakshya Raj Singh on their victories for the posts of president, secretary and joint secretary respectively, saying their wins represented the youth's faith in the values of "Knowledge, Character, and Unity" and "Nation First".
"My connection with Delhi University and DUSU is deeply personal. It was in this very campus that my journey - from student life to the responsibilities of DUSU President was shaped. Therefore, today's historic victory is a moment of special joy for me," Gupta said.
