India, Aug. 10 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday said the country's long-standing tradition of justice, rooted in constitutional values and reason, would be further strengthened by the next generation of legal professionals. She was addressing students at the valedictory ceremony of the first National Trial Advocacy Competition organised at National Law University (NLU), Delhi, with the support of Think India. Interacting with participants, faculty members and young law students, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of nurturing skilled legal professionals who can contribute to a more accessible, transparent and efficient justice delivery system. Speaking at the event, Gupta said India's judicial tradition has always placed the highest importance on fairness, constitutional principles and rational thought. She expressed confidence that the energy and talent of young advocates, coupled with modern judicial infrastructure, would help shape a stronger legal system for the future. The CM said the Delhi government is working towards strengthening the Capital's judicial ecosystem by supporting initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and creating an environment that meets the evolving needs of the justice system.
