India, July 22 -- Delhi has reported 205 dengue cases, 58 malaria cases and 13 chikungunya cases so far this year, with no deaths from any of the three vector-borne diseases, according to the latest Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) data. The MCD's vector-borne diseases report, covering the period up to July 18, recorded six new dengue cases and three malaria cases during the week, while no fresh chikungunya infection was reported. According to the report, the cumulative dengue count has reached 205, lower than the 261 cases reported during the corresponding period last year and 269 cases in 2024. No dengue-related death has been reported this year.
Malaria cases stood at 58 till July 18, compared with 112 cases during the same period in 2025. The city has also not recorded any malaria-related death so far this year. Chikungunya infections remained low, with 13 cases reported till July 18 against 17 cases during the corresponding period last year. No fresh case was added during the latest reporting week. The report also detailed the civic body's anti-mosquito measures. Between January 1 and July 18, the MCD sprayed 2,32,773 houses, made more than 2.07 crore home visits for mosquito breeding, found mosquito breeding in 58,310 houses, issued 51,774 legal notices, launched 5,878 prosecutions and carried out 1,866 garnishee (G-8) actions. The amount recovered through these actions stood at Rs 4,16,270.
