India, Aug. 13 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday led a Tiranga Yatra from India Gate to Kartavya Path as part of the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, calling on Delhi residents to celebrate Independence Day by hoisting the national flag and reaffirming their commitment to the nation. The march witnessed participation from thousands of school and college students, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and citizens carrying the Tricolour. BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, Cabinet ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ravinder Indraj Singh also joined the event. "August 15 is not only a celebration of independence but also an opportunity to remember India's journey and achievements. We should take pride in what the country has accomplished and strengthen our resolve for the future," she said. She urged people to participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign by hoisting the national flag at their homes and sharing photographs on social media. "This is not merely a campaign, but a collective expression of respect, pride and unity towards the nation," the Chief Minister said. Speaking at the event, BJP National President Nitin Nabin described 'Har Ghar Tiranga' as a mass movement inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 'Har Ghar Tiranga' has become a powerful campaign of public participation and national pride," he said, appealing to citizens to honour the country's martyrs and strengthen the spirit of unity and integrity by joining the initiative ahead of Independence Day.
