New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- The CISF has signed an MoU with the Drone Federation of India (DFI) to strengthen drone and counter-drone capabilities at critical installations.
The agreement aims to develop CISF Recruit Training Centre, Behror, as a Centre of Excellence for drone and counter-drone systems. CISF safeguards over 370 units, while more than 3,000 personnel have been trained in drone and anti-drone operations and around 80 units have been equipped with the technology. The organisations will develop SOPs, conduct joint exercises and red-teaming, and undertake training, drone forensics and applied research.
CISF DG Praveer Ranjan said the partnership would help create a realistic test environment against evolving threats.
