India, July 2 -- Delhi Police has launched a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for teachers as part of the Child Safety Month initiative, aimed at strengthening child protection across educational institutions in the national capital. The initiative, envisioned by Lieutenant Governor Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, is being implemented jointly by the Directorate of Education (DoE), the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Delhi Police. Held at the Aadarsh Auditorium at Police Headquarters, the programme is being conducted in hybrid mode across four half-day batches. The training covers the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) guidelines, school safety and security, cyber safety, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and its implementation in schools. Supervised by DCP/SPUWAC Neha Yadav, the programme aims to build awareness, promote child-friendly practices and strengthen child protection mechanisms in schools.
