Kolkata, July 10 -- Resigning from the Mamata led TMC camp, Chandrima Bhattacharya on Friday joined the Ritabrata Banerjee-led rebel Trinamool Congress faction and was inducted into its National Working Committee. On the first day of a two-day-long meeting of the faction's National Working Committee at a hotel in Kolkata, the rebel camp announced the names of its working committee functionaries.
Former minister Biplab Mitra was named State President, while Javed Khan was appointed Working State President.
Among the frontal organisations, Sabina Yasmin was appointed president of the Trinamool Mahila Congress with Seuli Saha as working president. Kohinur Majumdar was named chairman of Trinamool's Student wing and Sudip Raha its president. Deganga MLA Anisur Rahman Bidesh was appointed president of the Trinamool Youth Congress, with Sourav Basu as working president.
The faction also appointed north bengal leader Nirjal Dey as INTTUC president, Baharul Islam as minority cell president, Nishith Kumar Mallick as president of the farmers' organisation and Ashish Marjit as president of the SC/ST cell.
