Kolkata, Sept. 30 -- A BJP party office on Central Avenue, allegedly linked to Tourism minister-of-state Purnima Chakraborty, was reportedly vandalised late Tuesday night.

BJP workers found banners and posters outside the office torn apart on Wednesday morning, while a cutout of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Chakraborty was also damaged.

Chakraborty alleged that miscreants backed by the Trinamool Congress were behind the incident and had sought to create fear in the area.

Based on her complaint, Battala police have begun an investigation and are examining CCTV footage to identify those involved. The police are yet to ascertain the motive behind the alleged attack.
