New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation has uncovered an alleged illegal SIM Box network involved in at least 73 cybercrime cases across India, including "digital arrest" frauds, and arrested an Airtel area distributor for allegedly helping with the fraudulent issuance of hundreds of SIM cards.

The CBI carried out searches at 10 locations in Bihar's Vaishali district and Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district as part of its investigation into the network.
