India, Aug. 18 -- A burglary at the residence of a Delhi Police DCP in the upscale Kaka Nagar area was solved within 24 hours, with the police arresting one accused and detaining two, official sources said on Monday. Sources added that all the stolen articles, including an iPhone, diamond ring, cash and important documents, have been recovered. "We have arrested one person and detained two others. Further questioning is underway," a senior police officer said, requesting anonymity. The incident took place on August 11 when the officer left his residence around 5.30 am for duty. He returned around 8 am and found the house ransacked, following which the Tughlak Road police station was informed. According to police sources, the officer had left through a door near the kitchen which could not be locked. On returning, he found several belongings missing from the house. Items stolen included an iPhone, diamond ring, Rs 10,000 cash, wallets, cards and identity documents. Police registered a case at Tughlak Road police station and recovered the stolen articles within 24 hours after CCTV and technical investigations, arresting one person.
