Kolkata, Oct. 5 -- BJP's central leadership has asked the Bengal unit to carry out a comprehensive organisational overhaul aimed at inducting younger, "Gen Z" faces across its various frontal organisations.

As per the instruction, the state BJP will have to infuse fresh blood in the organisation. Youths should be given priority while inducting leaders in Yuva Morcha and other fronts. There should be a target to induct around 100 Yuva 'karyakartas' with the "nation first" mindset in each booth.

Recently, BJP secretaries were changed in seven districts. Now, a new core committee will be constituted in these districts. In the Yuva and Mohila Morcha, a full team will be constituted. This restructuring directly aligns with a national directive mandated by BJP national president Nitin Nabin. Under this policy, a strict age cap will be enforced. The national president for the Yuva Morcha (Youth Wing) must be under 35 years old, while all state-level Yuva Morcha presidents must be under 32 years of age.

Following a high-level BJP-RSS coordination meeting in New Delhi, the party stripped several senior leaders of their organisational duties because they already hold ministerial berths in the state Cabinet. Ministers like Agnimitra Paul, Jagannath Chatterjee, Dipak Barman, Tapas Roy and Shankar Ghosh were relieved of their party posts to clear the path for fresh talent.

Yuva Morcha's (Youth Wing) president Indranil Khan was replaced by Amit Samanta, the MLA from Amta, to steer the youth leadership at the grassroots level. Full full-fledged youth committees are mandated to heavily prioritise the next generation. Actress-politician Anjana Basu was appointed as the new state president of the women wing, replacing Agnimitra Paul.

Following review meetings led by Nitin Nabin, the state leadership was instructed to form 21-member booth committees. The Central leadership explicitly noted that these panels must consist of local residents holding a "clean image" to maintain a zero-tolerance policy against trouble-mongers or extortionists.
