India, Aug. 5 -- A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed and his pillion rider injured after their KTM motorcycle rammed into a parked car near Second Pushta Road towards Akshardham in northeast Delhi's Shastri Park area on Tuesday afternoon, police said. The police were alerted to the incident through a PCR call received at Shastri Park police station. According to officials, information about the accident was received at around 1.15 pm, following which a police team reached the spot and found that the KTM motorcycle had collided with a parked car. The motorcycle rider was identified as Syed Aman Ali, 25, son of Majid Ali and a resident of Chudiwalan in Delhi. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra (JPC) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Also Read - Factory wall collapse kills two firefighters The pillion rider, Syed Mohd Faiz, 25, also sustained serious injuries. Some passers-by took him to JPC Hospital before the police arrived. His condition was not immediately known. Police said the motorcycle's front end was severely damaged in the collision, while the parked vehicle was also damaged. A forensic team from the Crime Branch was called to the scene to collect evidence and assist in determining the circumstances leading to the accident. Police are probing the motorcycle's speed, road conditions and the possibility of negligence, along with other aspects of the case. They are also examining witness statements and other available evidence to establish the exact cause of the accident. A case has been registered under Sections 281, 125(a) and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police said. The motorcycle and the other vehicle involved have been taken into police custody as part of the investigation.
