Kolkata, April 15 -- West Bengal recorded an improvement in the CBSE Class X results this year, with the pass percentage rising to 96.16%, up by 1.23 points from 2025, and higher than the national average of 93.70%.

Of the 43,867 registered candidates in the state, 41,938 cleared the examination. Girls outperformed boys, registering a 97.11% pass rate compared to 95.50% among boys.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated successful students and encouraged those who did not pass, urging them not to lose confidence and to stay motivated for future attempts.
