New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- The Delhi Police's Anti Narcotics Squad of Outer North team has recovered a big haul of property from the residence of an alleged drug trafficker in Bawana.
An anonymous source tipped the Anti Narcotics Squad of the Delhi Police about the criminal. The accused has been identified as Saheb Khan alias Sonu (27) son of Kayum Khan resident of Gordhanpura, Pratapgarh, Rajasthan.
According to the police, the recovery was made on September 28 following information provided by accused Parvati, who was arrested along with her bodyguard, Vikash alias Shanu, during a raid in New Sanoth Colony on September 23. Police suspect that the seized cash, jewellery and property documents represent proceeds generated through drug trafficking in the Bawana and Narela areas.
During the initial raid, police recovered 939 grams of heroin, 615 grams of adulterated powder, 7.93 lakh rupees in cash and a Tata Harrier vehicle.
During interrogation, Parvati allegedly disclosed details of an organised interstate drug trafficking syndicate operating with supplies sourced from Rajasthan.
Acting on her information, police arrested her alleged supplier, Saheb Khan alias Sonu (27), from Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, on September 25.
Police recovered another 265 grams of heroin from his Swift car, which was subsequently seized.
