New Delhi, July 8 -- At an age when most teenagers are preparing for board examinations and planning their college admissions, 17-year-old Imran Chaudhary from Jammu and Kashmir has achieved a remarkable milestone by building an artificial intelligence (AI) startup valued at Rs 5 crore within just six months.
A Class 12 student from Doongi village in Rajouri district, Imran is the founder of Lagnever Technologies Private Ltd, an edtech startup that leverages AI to make learning more personalised and accessible for students.
According to the company, its flagship product, Lagnever AI, has surpassed 10,000 downloads since its launch. The platform offers a variety of AI-powered learning tools designed to complement classroom education rather than replace teachers. Its features include AI-assisted study support, automated note generation, quizzes, doubt-solving assistance, and career guidance, enabling students to learn more effectively alongside conventional teaching methods.
Imran said his vision is to create a platform that improves access to quality education, especially for students who do not have access to premium learning resources.
Although Imran leads the startup, he attributes its rapid growth to the efforts of his 12-member team. He said that growing up in a remote village with limited resources never discouraged his interest in technology. Instead, it inspired him to learn on his own and work towards building an educational platform that could benefit students across India.
The startup has also begun attracting strong investor interest, with Imran revealing that the company has received multiple investment offers. His achievements have also earned him international recognition.
Imran has been selected for a prestigious global founders' programme associated with BlackRock, where only 60 young entrepreneurs from across the world have been chosen. The selection places him among a select group of emerging founders recognised globally for their innovation and entrepreneurial potential.
